Taran Killam Syas About Amanda Bynes

Taran Killam is wishing Amanda Bynes nothing but the best.

The Saturday Night Live star—who previously worked with the 27-year-old actress on The Amanda Show—chatted with E! News at the Los Angeles premiere of The To Do List, where he opened up about his former costar in light of her recent troubling behavior.

"When I knew Amanda 10 years ago, she was a lovely, intelligent, funny girl," the comedian said. "We lost touch, but I truly wish her all the best."

On Monday evening, Bynes was reportedly found trying to light a fire in the driveway of a home not far from where her parents live in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

The former Nickelodeon star was detained by police and taken into custody for a mental health evaluation, a Ventura County Sheriff's spokesperson confirmed to E! News.

Deputies investigating the incident determined the actress "met the criteria of a 5150," which resulted in her being placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold for 72 hours. A 5150 typically indicates the person is considered a threat to himself, herself or others.

"I just want her to be healthy and OK," the 31-year-old funnyman added.

In a video obtained today, the actress is shown rushing into a liquor store to clean off her pet Pomeranian after she allegedly accidentally drenched her pooch in gasoline while trying to light the driveway fire.

Luckily, a source tells E! News the cops returned the pup to Bynes' parents after the actress was detained and the dog is now resting comfortably at home.

Andrew Liverpool, an eyewitness to Amanda's antics, told E! News about his Monday-night encounter with the star, describing Bynes' "frantic" demeanor when he approached the embattled actress.
